  2. Let us control ads plugin version in config file, while keeping default behaviour taking latest

    Currently, we have no control whatsoever on plugin versions. which means that even the most minor app update (a typo) can bring with it unwanted libraries change, forcing the developer to deal with consequences.

  3. setting to force all variables to be declared

    that would save quite some time looking why something doesnt work because of that mistyped variable name ..
    e.g.
    declareAllVariables = Y

  5. Support iOS touch radius property

    Please add support for the touch event properties "majorRadius" and "majorRadiusTolerance" that have been introduced in iOS 8.

    These are used to get the size of a touch event, i.e. to discern between a small finger touch, a large finger touch, or a palm that rests on the display.

    Of course, these properties would be nil on Android unless Android adds similar touch properties in the future.

  6. Proper text field for Win32

    The native text field is very poor in Win32 applications, really hindering application development.
    Transparent background, and removing the border (stroke) are probably the most needed options.

  7. Higher frame rate support (inc. 120 fps)

    High fps mobile devices have now been on the market for over 1 year, including:

    • iPad Pro at 120 fps (since June 2017)
    • Razer Phone 1 & 2 at 120 fps
    • ASUS ROG phone at 90 fps

    Plus many PC displays support much higher refresh rates.

    Corona's performance is generally great, it would be amazing to see our games running to their full potential on high end devices.

    IMPORTANTLY: If you are lucky enough to get to pitch to Apple, the number one thing they ask for is what Apple features and technologies do you support. Saying…

  8. Ability to search in the Corona Simulator Console

    Could it be possible to add a Search / Find ability in the Corona Simulator Console ?
    When I print out lots of data, it can be a pain to not being able to search (have to copy paste the output to search in another program)

  9. Resize the window in desktop apps (from the app)

    Being able to change the size of the window in runtime would be great - ideally being able to select what part corner, if any, gets fixed and which ones move.

  10. On Demand Resources support for iOS

    Extend current plug-in which support only tvOS to iOS. It seems that the effort is minimal.

  11. Visual guide(s) on Corona Simulator

    Ability to enter code which would then display a line/box/etc given particular position(s).

    For example.

    If I enter a code such as
    simulatorLine.y = myImage.y

    Then the simulator will display a horizontal line at the particular y location.
    This code will not impact the actual application and will only be a visual guide in the Simulator

    This would allow me to judge where images start and finish. In particular when the images share the same colour.

  12. Tezos XTZ Blockchain wallet integration

    Tezos cryptocurrency could be easily integrated to Corona SDK that would enormously benefit from it, as this would allow to store real money in the platform and purchase items with it. There are TezosJ SDK for Android, TezosJ plain Java and also EZTZ for Javascript.

  13. Support for a variable time per frame in display.newSprite()

    As of now, sprites can have sequences where you'd have to specify the 'time' it takes to complete the animation. It would be great to also have the possibility to specify a sequence where the frame time is variable per frame. (eg. frame 1 = 100ms, frame 2-5 = 60ms, frame 6 = 33 ms)

    I could imagine the following syntax methods:
    1: a new property for the sequenceData called 'variableTime'. It would consists of an array where the time is given per frame: {variableTime = {100, 60, 60, 60, 60, 60, 33}}
    2: a new property for the sequenceData…

  16. add native.actionsheet as in native.showAlert

    Dear Corona-developers,

    it would be awesome if the native-library could be extended and a native.actionsheet(explanation, {button1: color, button2:color, button3: color}{cancelbutton: color}) was there.

    Later this year I also came accross this topic:

    Rob told us that this can be done manually and yes, basically one can write code that results in an actionsheet that looks almost exactly like the native actionsheet. But at least I couldn't make it match the original one exaclty 100%, so I'm afraid - at least to me - this will never be a perfect solution.

  18. Twitter keyboard type for native.newTextBox

    native.newTextField supports all the keyboard types, including the UIKeyboardTypeTwitter twitter keyboard with easy access to hashtag # and @ charachters. Great. However, in the multi-line native.newTextBox element doesn't support these.

    Please add the other keyboard types for the native.newTextBox element!

  19. Universal CRT support

    Hi.

    Now that a new public build is out of the way I'd like to sneak in a feature request for a future one. :)

    It sounds like Microsoft is actually trying to address the issue of CRT runtime changes with each Visual Studio iteration.

    At the same time, Visual Studio 2013, and the associated runtime, is starting to show its age, losing out on C++14 and now C++17 features introduced in the more recent editions, as well as a whole host of open source libraries built on these new capabilities.
